Happy Halloween!

It's Avery's first Halloween! And although she couldn't be much sweeter, seeing her in this little lamb costume made us think otherwise.

We thought Harrison would be THRILLED to put on his Thomas costume, but he proved us wrong.

Once he saw the other kids in their costumes, all was forgiven!

Riding a real "train" with Daddy at his school's fall festival.

Nana and Papa Carter took him to his school's Halloween parade and party. Here he is with his three teachers and classmates.

Holding Ms. Kira's hand, she is totally his girlfriend.

Pumpkin Time

It was that time of year again, to drive into North Georgia and visit our favorite pumpkin patch! We met up there with the usual suspects, the Almstedts and the Sagers. Avery's inaugural appearance at Berry Patch Farms went very well, she enjoyed watching all of the children running around. Harrison had a good time too, and he didn't cry this time on the hayride! He loved the tractors that pulled everyone around and followed Anna and Lauren everywhere.

Thank you Car Car, for the Halloween gear! We all loved our shirts!

Rob, Lauren, Avery and Jason as we started out on the hayride.

Lauren and Anna are such a good pair!! I can't wait until Avery has enough hair to put a cute bow in like they have!

Will someone sit down here please?

Trying to impress Lauren with his muscles!

He waved bye bye to the tractor every time one pulled away! See you next year!

Playing in the Grass

While we were playing outside this weekend I set Avery down in the grass for the first time. She was fascinated!

Getting a sniff from Gracie.

This stuff is so fun! I can't wait to run around on it one day, just like Harrison. By the way, could I look any more like my Daddy in this picture?

I had to include these two pictures as well. Avery loves falling asleep on her Dada, and in turn, she is a magic sleeping potion for him!

So Happy Together

"I can see me loving nobody but you, for all my life!"

As Avery gets older, she and Harrison are becoming such good buddies. She LOVES watching him play and just giggles and cackles away at his antics. He, in turn, loves the attention she gives him and just turns on more hijinks when she's watching.

His new favorite thing is to "hold the baby". Once she gets in his lap, though, he instantly says "all done!", so I have to snap my pictures quickly!

The other favorite thing to do is push her in the stroller!

Just another sweet smile from my sweet girl that I had to post.

This face cracks me up! What a ham! Just like her brother....

One of Harrison's favorite fall-time activities is to help Dada rake the leaves and pick them up (after he's thrown them in the air and dove into piles of them.....).

Run Forrest, RUN! Another one of his favorite things to do is to try to run as fast as he can!

Five Months Old

Our sweet baby girl has had such a tough week leading up to her five month birthday yesterday. She had surgery to remove a blockage in her left kidney last Friday and while the surgery was a complete success and we went home Saturday afternoon, she was back in the hospital Saturday night with an infection which made her very ill. Fortunately, the hospital took great care of us and Avery is on the mend and feeling much better! So we are home and she is recuperating with the help of Nana and Papa Carter. We appreciate all of our family and friends for their support, concern, prayers and thoughts, especially Nana & Papa Carter and Car Car & Poppy Eschen who were there for the surgery and helping us out so much in the hospital and at home.

Even though Avery has been through so much recently, she tries to be her usual happy self as much as possible! Here is the chair picture I took last night. She is getting so much more hair!

I took these pictures last night too. Papa and Jason were showing Avery Harrison's choo choos, and she liked picking them up and playing with them.

Harrison quickly got down on the floor to investigate the choo choo situation. He was not very happy to be sharing his prized possessions with his sister! So we took a lot of time explaining to him about sharing toys, etc. It finally paid off this morning when he handed Avery a choo choo to play with (even though he wanted it right back)!

She was so cute, reaching out trying to touch him and grab his face!

I thought this was a cute picture of her. Her daycare teachers emailed this to me!
