Fun in Citrus County

I took Harrison and Avery down to Florida for a week to spend some time with Poppy, Car Car, Mandy, Burls and Baby Owen. We stayed very busy. We visited Poppy and Car Car at their schools, went to the playground, went shopping, played outside, and went to a concert. We also went to the Homosassa Springs wildlife park, it was definitely a highlight of the trip!

Car Car, me and Mandy with the kids at the wildlife park.

Sistas.

Uh oh, Car Car and Harrison are in the hippo splatter zone. Ew!

Avery loved watching the fish and manatees!

Look at this cute little manatee!

Harrison checking out Rosie the manatee. He thinks she is named after one of his choo choos.

Posing with Mommy. Sort of.

I love this picture of Baby Owen with his mommy!

Avery's telling Mandy about everything she sees.

Valentine's Kids!

I got the kids dressed in their red for Valentine's Friday at school. Harrison had a little party with his friends, and he got LOTS of Valentines and candy! I think he's decided it's his favorite holiday. Because.......candy, mmmm.......

I love my little Valentines, they are the sweetest gifts ever!

Avery was SO cute in her little red sparkly shoes and red velvet pants!

Spaghetti Boy

Harrison now has three favorite foods - spaghetti, cheese grits, and cereal bars. He would eat any of the three of them all day if I would let him. Mommy's spaghetti is definitely not as good as Nana Carter's spaghetti, but as you can see below, I guess it will do!

Nine Months Old!

Avery turned nine months old yesterday! We had her appointment today with the pediatrician, and she weighs 20 pounds, 10 ounces (75-90th) and is 29 inches tall (95+ percentile). She continues to be such a beautiful, sweet, happy baby girl. She can say mama and dada, and lots of other sounds ("yeah yeah" is a favorite). Her bottom two teeth came in so they are very cute when she smiles. She waves hi and bye, and claps her hands all the time when someone else says "yay!" or starts clapping their hands. She is crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling up on everything, and starting to cruise the furniture. She has a lot of confidence in herself which is great. She and Harrison continue to have a ball playing together. A favorite game that they play is when they are both in their chairs eating. One will start to nod their head, and then the other follows suit, and apparently it's pretty hilarious. Harrison has also taken a protective role with her. He has watched us tell her "no" and redirect her when she's crawling somewhere she's not supposed to, or touching contraband items. So when he sees her doing something like that, he says, "No no Avery! Come back! Be careful!". It is so sweet! Avery is SUCH a blessing, she lights up the room, and we can not imagine life without her!
