Heartbreaking Football Weekend

Poppy and Car Car Eschen came up this past weekend to visit and the highlight of the weekend was everyone getting together to watch the Florida/Georgia game. Unfortunately, the Gators played a great game but lost to those ugly Bulldogs! And it came on the tail of another heartbreaking loss by Virginia Tech on Thursday night, who had Boston College beat right up until the end. At least the Demon Deacons were able to beat up on those ole Tarheels pretty nicely. Oh well, it was another beautiful fall weekend and there wasn't much time for tears! Except when Harrison tripped and fell forehead-first on the driveway and hurt himself. The wound bled a lot and we thought he might need stitches, but it ended up healing nicely on its own. He's such a tough guy!

Sharing Poppy's breakfast, one of his favorite things to do when they come to visit.

Harrison LOVES playing with brooms and mops, so Car Car got him his own child-size set! Look how exicted he is!

Aw, I love my Daddy!

Harrison loves Will and Megan (he thinks Megan is HIS girlfriend!).

Hooray For Fall!

Last weekend was so nice, the weather was cool and we did some fun fall things to enjoy it. Harrison helped Jason rake some leaves in the yard, and we also went to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin for our house. It was a neat experience, they had hayrides, farm animals, and homemade ice cream which we enjoyed!

One quick note - during Harrison's 15-month appointment we got his latest stats: 25 1/2 pounds (50-75 percentile), 32 1/2 inches tall (75-90 percentile), and I don't remember what his exact head circumference was, but as always, it was in the 90-95 percentile! His favorite things are playing outside, hide and seek, peekaboo, sliding down his slide, and grabbing the dogs' tails!

You missed a couple over there.....

This is the life!

Where's Ma and Pa Ingalls? I've got their wagon ready for them.

This pumpkin patch is awesome!

This one seems nice.....

More Florida Fun

Whew, it's been a long time since I've updated this blog, almost a month! It's been a busy few weeks, I've been traveling a lot for work, but that will all be done very soon.

I took Harrison to Florida last weekend to visit my grandmother who is still in Hospice. We had a good trip and it was nice to see her, she enjoyed seeing Harrison and although she can't talk much, she commented on how pretty his blue eyes were! The rest of the weekend we just took it easy around Poppy and Car Car's house, doing a lot of swimming in the pool, playing outside, watching football, and hanging out with Mandy and Burls.

Harrison LOVED the pool and spent hours outside playing in it or around it on the deck. He also discovered a love for brooms and mops......everytime he went in my parents' garage, he wanted to get all of them out from the corner and play with them in the driveway. We got a lot of rain while we were in Florida, so playing in puddles was also a must!

Harrison wanted to get in the pool about 10 minutes after we arrived! So he went in, clothes and all.

Cousin Shelby helped him color while we were visiting Grammy at Hospice.

Mom and Dad, when can we get a pool???
