Harrison Loves the Demon Deacons!

At least that's what his shirt says!

We went to Winston-Salem this past week for WFU Homecoming and had such a fun time staying with John and Jaime. Our friend Carla came down from the Big Apple to spend the weekend as well, so it was like a mini-reunion (our 10 year reunion is next year - wow!). We packed a lot of fun stuff into a small amount of time.......we spent some time on campus before the football game, tailgated, and ate at THREE of our college faves - La Carreta, Hero House, and Village Tavern. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, it was a true North Carolina fall weekend. Some of the leaves were even starting to turn!

On the quad for some pre-game festivities. Harrison watched all the little kids play games, and had fun running around on the big grassy area.

Here we are last year in front of the same building! Check out that bald head.

Old roommates together once again!

Here comes triple trouble!

Carla shared her french fries with Harrison at the Hero House. He was hers truly from then on!

That's kind of a large cupholder, John.........

Go Deacs, beat Army (they did)!!!

Harrison clapped along with the fans a lot, including the Army ones. We tried to teach him when it was appropriate to "boo"!

Uncle Birthday Weekends

Jason and I each have a brother, so Harrison has two awesome uncles! What's even funnier is that their birthdays are just one day apart. So we spent last weekend celebrating Jeff's and Will's birthdays. On Saturday, the Carters went to Chow Baby to celebrate with Jeff. Harrison loved the restaurant, it was loud and there was lots of action going on, definitely his kind of place. He ate some chicken and green beans out of everyone's noodle bowls, and then ate an entire cheese quesadilla all by himself!

Here are the Carters waiting for their table.

Caitlin took Harrison for a walk while we were waiting. They are so cute!

Playing peekaboo with Papa at the table.

Nana's getting my sugar! She doesn't need any dessert now!

On Sunday, we had Will, Megan and their two dogs over to watch the NFL games and have lunch together. Harrison was so funny, he was enthralled by having 4 dogs in the house at one time, and didn't know which one to play with first!

Uncle Willy makes me laugh!

Sitting in Megan's lap and playing with Maggie Mae.

Shaking hands!

Florida Beach Boy

We went to Crescent Beach, FL this past weekend for the annual Roberts Family Labor Day Reunion. We stayed in a really cute house on the beach with Poppy & Car Car Eschen, Mandy & Chris, and Will, Megan & Maggie Mae (their puppy). It was Harrison's 2nd reunion, but he was definitely too little to do anything fun last year! This year he played every day on the beach and in the pool, and met and played with his cousins. He was definitely a big hit with the family, they loved his big cheeks and his funny personality, he put on a "show" every day for the entire group!

Also - HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF (tomorrow)!!!

Helping Car Car make a grocery list.

Harrison was fascinated with Maggie's crate, and climbed in there a few times a day to check it out!

Harrison got to meet his cousin, Cameron, for the first time. Cam is 11 months old and he will be moving from Chicago to Atlanta with his mom and dad (Caroline and Ken) this month! We are thrilled to have some more family in town soon.

Harrison had a great time following around his cousins Kaley and Jordan. Here he is with Kaley this year.........

.......look how much they've both changed from last year!

This was the first time Harrison played in the sand on a beach. He liked tasting the sand and throwing it.

Such a big boy!

After one particulary bad thunderstorm, we went out to the beach in the early evening to take a walk, and Harrison ended up playing in the sand and surf for a long time. Here he is playing in a puddle with his "shovel" (a.k.a. serving spoon).

Directing Kaley and Jordan on what to do next.

He loved standing in the surf and feeling the waves go back and forth. He would walk/run into the water and out of the water constantly.

The morning before we left we let him go down to the beach again in his PJs. He spent some good quality time with Poppy and Car Car playing in the surf again!
