Lots of Love in February

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day! We had a nice, low-key one at the Carter house. We had gone out to eat the night before (one of our favorites - Sweet Tomatoes!) and picked out paint for Harrison's new room. On the actual V Day, we just had dinner in and exchanged gifts and cards.

He enjoyed our card from Poppy and Car Car, it sang "Who Let the Dogs Out" when you opened it. We also got really nice cards from Nana and Papa, Jeff and Caitlin!



I had the day off for President's Day, and we had Will, Megan, Megan's sister (Kristin) and her two sons (Ryan, almost 2, and Jace, 4 months) over for dinner and lots of playing that night.

Visiting with the Diffs

Erin, Andy and James Diffenderffer were vacationing up in the Georgia mountains this past weekend, so Kathleen and I took advantage of their close proximity and drove up to visit them on Saturday afternoon. We met Erin and James in Blue Ridge and had lunch in the cute downtown area. We also got a LOT of fudge to share, and pretty much made ourselves sick to our stomachs! Then we took the boys to play at a nearby playground which was a lot of fun, they had a great time on the swings and slides. It was so good to see Erin and James, we miss them a lot!

Hanging Around the House

We took it easy in the month of January, just hanging around the house and not traveling anywhere! We're also getting the house ready to welcome the baby girl, we bought her nursery furniture and will get some painting done soon to get Harrison moved into his new room. Here is how Harrison spends his time lately!

Playing pool is one of his new favorites, he always want to go down to the basement. Here he is racking the balls........

Helping Daddy put together some new floor lamps. He is SUCH a good helper and always wants to help with whatever we're doing around the house, which hey, I'm not discouraging!



One of his new favorite things to do is take a framed picture and walk around with it, "talking" about the people in it!
