Yesterday was Jason's 33rd birthday and Harrison helped him open some of his presents!
April 19th is also Jason's dad's birthday, so Nana and Papa are coming in town tonight and we are doing our traditional birthday dinner at Benihana's with Jeff and Caitlin to celebrate. We can't wait!
Daddy, this birthday card I gave you is not only funny, but it also tastes really good!
What's in here?? I hope it's something for me!
Bah humbug, none of these presents are for me! But I'm glad Daddy likes his gifts!

Lauren's Baptism
We went to Lauren Sager's baptism on Sunday and then over to the Sagers' house for a reception afterwards. Both sets of grandparents were there along with Aunt Karin, so it was very nice to see the Sager and Beckey families! We also got to see the Sansavs, the Almstedts and the Roberts', and really enjoyed having all the kids together for the afternoon.
Here's the big girl with her mommy and daddy after the ceremony. The minister told us her name meant she was a winner and a conquerer......truer words were never spoken!
Mr. and Mrs. Sager made the trip in from Virginia......unfortunately, we did not have any warm weather to greet them with.
Look at that smile!
Is there anything sweeter than daddies with their daughters???

Crawling!!
Harrison crawled FORWARD for the first time last Monday night! Here are some shots of his first "steps". He was so excited about his new skill that he stayed up an hour past his bedtime because he was so wired! Jason and I got the biggest kick out of it, he was just squealing and laughing and having the best time. What we did not anticipate, though, that immediately after the crawling was accomplished would come the pulling-up!
Easter
We spent Easter in Montgomery with Nana and Papa Carter, Jeff and Caitlin. We had a really good time just relaxing, shopping and eating lots of candy! We also dyed Easter eggs, and Caitlin and I got our nails done too.
Here's a nice blue egg for Harrison!
Caitlin made some really pretty ones.
Which color now? Who's using the yellow?
The Easter bunny was VERY good to Harrison!
After church on Easter Sunday
Hunting for Easter eggs.......Harrison was thrilled with his finds!
Easter Sunday was also Masters Sunday of course. Here's Harrison in his golf pants and golf club!

Harrison and James
Harrison got to meet James Diffenderffer for the first time last weekend when Erin and Andy came to town for a quick visit. They were so cute together, both boys watched each other and were so entertained by the other's presence. Harrison just wanted to grab him and kept reaching out to him, so it was tough to reign him in! We told him, in a few more months you can play and wrestle with each other, so be patient!

A Boy and his Dog
Gracie has really pleasantly surprised us with how well she's taken to Harrison. When Harrison was first born, Gracie was really ambivalent about him and Vegas was the curious one. Now the roles have switched, and as he's gotten older, Gracie has really taken on the more "motherly" role while Vegas acts like the annoyed older brother! Gracie lays next to Harrison while he plays, and she lets him pet her and grab her face and ears (we are teaching him, "gentle with the doggie") and is so patient with him. She even comes and lays down in the bathroom while he gets a bath, and will come lay in our bed next to Harrison when we are feeding him before he goes to sleep! It really is very sweet and I had to share some pictures of how cute they are together!
MVP
Harrison got to meet Jason's friend, Tom Murphy, for the first time this past weekend when he came in town for the fantasy baseball draft. Murph brought Harrison a shirt that his son, Jackson (who is almost 4!), used to wear. It is Hokie-colored and says, "Most Valuable Player". It fit Harrison perfectly and he had fun wearing it! Thank you Murphy Family!

Anna's Baptism
We invited ourselves along to Anna Almstedt's baptism last weekend and had a great time, it was so nice to see the Almstedt and Lesley families. Harrison had so much fun watching all the little girls play, it was so funny! Anna also let him take a nap in her crib which was very nice of her. Anna looked so pretty and was such a good, sweet girl! Congratulations!

Go Fighting Illini!
We went to Caitlin's softball game last weekend to cheer on her and her team, the Fighting Illini. Harrison had a ball, he was so entertained by all of the softball action and it was such a gorgeous day outside, so it was fun for all! Caitlin's team played great but had a tough game and didn't come up with the win, but we know those Fighting Illini will fight back hard next time!
